The Crampons allow moving over icy and alpine terrain, and even allow climbing vertical walls of ice.

Use¶

They are attached to the protagonist's shoes and allow crossing insecure snow and ice terrain, as well as climbing vertical walls of ice. This item is indispensible for conquering the southern mountains and reaching the plateau that houses the Sword from the Stars. As a side effect, it is possible to kick enemies when the crampons are attached; the spikes deal quite some damage. While wearing the crampons, one moves very slowly.

The crampons can also be "abused" to climb some tall trees and wooden masts.
